Proudly Serving The City Of Heath Since 1951
The Code Enforcement Bureau, led by Greg Coyle, is responsible for the life safety and fire inspections for all businesses located in the City of Heath.
In total, we have nine firefighters who are also Certified Fire Safety Inspectors. Our goal is to ensure that all businesses are compliant with the adopted Ohio Fire Code to provide our citizens and visitors' safety. For tips to make your fire inspections more efficient, please review and follow the Ohio Fire Code and the City of Heath Fire Ordinances.
If you have any questions about code enforcement, feel free to email Greg Coyle.

It is the responsibility of the Fire Prevention Bureau for insuring that the Ohio Fire Code is being followed, as mandated by the Ohio Revised and Administrative Codes. The Fire Prevention Bureau insures that the Ohio Fire Code is being followed by performing periodic and scheduled inspections and new and existing building plan reviews for every commercial building within our jurisdiction. The types of commercial building that we perform inspection on are daycares, factories, restaurants, retail stores, schools or anything that is not a private residence. Fire and life safety inspections of private residences are offered as a public service upon request for reasons such as adoption and foster care, but must be scheduled in advance. All Fire Inspectors are certified through the Ohio Department of Public Safety and the State Fire Marshals Office.
